Robert Buckner

Robert has been the broker-owner and president of Robert A. Buckner & Associates, Inc. since 1987. He is the sixth generation on his mother’s side of the family to reside in Hernando County, Florida. He attended the University of Florida and graduated from St. Leo University in 1983 with a BA in Business Administration and subsequently completed additional coursework in commercial investment real estate and real estate appraisal. With over 30 years of experience and integrity in all aspects of real estate brokerage, he has established a company that endeavors to provide superlative professional advice and assistance to clients.

Involvement in real estate organizations is of utmost importance in the profession, as exemplified through Robert’s service. He was the 1989 president of the Hernando County Association of REALTORS®, 1994 District 7 Vice-President of Florida Realtors®, treasurer of the REALTORS® Land Institute Florida Chapter, and chairperson of the 2002 Legislative Committee of Florida Realtors®. The Hernando County Association of REALTORS® awarded him the Realtor of the Year in 2012 and the Civic Achievement Award in 1988, 1990, and 2002.

Currently, Robert serves on the Board of Directors for SunTrust Bank, Nature Coast, Hernando Progress, Inc., and the Brooksville Vision Foundation, Inc. and served on the Board of Trustees of Saint Leo University for over 20 years. By gubernatorial appointment, he was a member of the Coastal Rivers Basin Board of the Southwest Florida Water Management District. He volunteered and served on the Board of Directors for various civic organizations, including the United Way of Hernando County, Hernando County YMCA, Economic Development Commission of Hernando County, Downtown Development Corporation of Brooksville (past president), and Citizens Advisory Committee of the Hernando County MPO. Additionally, Robert is a senior member of the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys playing golf, hunting, and fishing.

Sheila M. Buckner, GRI

Office Manager

Having lived in Pinellas County for most of her life, and in Hernando County since 1996, Sheila has a broad knowledge of the Nature Coast and the general Tampa Bay area which enables her to familiarize her clients with the personalities and amenities of the local neighborhoods and businesses. Prior to moving to Hernando County she worked at Honeywell Space and Aviation as a financial analyst and government compliance specialist for over 11 years.

Community service has always been important to Sheila and as such she was a very active member of the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life, The Junior Service League of Brooksville, Junior League of Clearwater Dunedin and the National Contract Management Association. It was at a charitable social function where she met her husband, Robert A. Buckner. Married in 1996, Sheila and Robert have two children and reside in Brooksville.

Sheila holds a Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation, a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Contract Management thereby giving her the knowledge, networking capabilities and talents needed to buy or sell properties in Florida.

Born and raised Brooksville, FL, I have extensive community knowledge and considerable market expertise. I graduated from the University of Florida in 1985 with a degree in Finance. Working at SunTrust Bank for many years provided valuable experience in lending and analyzing commercial real estate investments. As an owner of a self-storage facility and other commercial properties, I have gained knowledge of handling property management. My qualifications and experience of 30+ years of combined experience in commercial real estate lending, real estate sales, development and property management are valuable assets to buyers and sellers. Working through Robert A. Buckner and Associates for the past 12 years has enabled me to be a multi-million dollar sales producer in real estate.

Jimmy Kimbrough

Jimmy acquired his real estate license in 1988 prior to graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Finance, and is experienced providing assistance and counsel in all segments of local real estate, including the property management, commercial & residential markets. Jimmy appreciates that almost every real estate transaction has its own unique aspects, thus underscoring the importance and value of honest, transparent communication to evaluate customers' best interests throughout the buying, selling or leasing process. Jimmy enjoys the fulfillment of a customer's desire for land, home or business ownership, and finds it especially rewarding to assist buyers & tenants in identifying properties as a component to their successful business venture.

A native of Brooksville and graduate of Hernando High School, Jimmy currently volunteers on boards of the Brooksville Vision Foundation and Hernando High School Athletic Hall Fame, and previously served in various volunteer, leadership and board positions including with the Hernando County Association of Realtors (past treasurer), Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation, Hernando County Education Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Brooksville (past president), Hernando Youth League (past president), Leopard Baseball Boosters (past treasurer), and member of the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce.

Jimmy enjoys church involvement, and is blessed with a son & two daughters whom he follows during most of his spare time.
